Milind College of Arts came into existence in 1963 after a trifurcation of the Milind Mahavidyalaya which was named after the renowed Greek King Meanader who embraced Buddhism at the hands of Buddhist scholar, philosopher NAGSEN. The Vast panormic campus spread over 216 acres with beautiful landscape surrounded by hillocks carved with Buddhist caves.
Besides Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Arts and Commerce and the Milind College of Science, PES College of Engineering, Dr. Ambedkar College of Law, hostels were added to the five colleges.
The College also has a grand auditorium for the cultural activities of the sttudents, the foundation stone of which was laid by the first Prime-Minister of India, the late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, in the year 1958.The garden in front of the Milind College was planned and laid out by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, himself, who had the unique desire of installing the statues of all great persons of the word. The college has NCC Unit, NSS Unit besides Gymkhana
